Morgan Kulas

Morgan grew up dancing at Parker Dance Academy, where she received training in the disciplines of ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary dance, and theater. She went on to receive a BFA in Acting from The Theater Conservatory at Chicago College of Performing Arts and was gifted a scholarship to continue her dance training at Hubbard Street. During her time in conservatory she discovered her passion for interdisciplinary work and performance theory under the guidance of Lithuaninan performance artist Kestutis Nakas. Morgan has studied extensively as a teacher; training in diverse pedagogies ranging from classical ballet education with School of American Ballet to intersectional forms of Internal and Somatic Arts.

Morgan had the pleasure of teaching at Vail Valley Academy of Dance from 2013-2023. During her time at VVAD, she developed what is now a six level contemporary dance program as well as the VVAD Repertory Company. She contributed numerous choreographic works to Vail Youth Ballet Company, VVAD Repertory Company, and Vail Valley Academy of Dance students and built bridges between studio and community through collaborations with organizations such as TedX Youth Vail and Colorado's Art in Public Places.

Morgan’s students have been accepted into some of the most competitive conservatories, college and summer dance programs, and companies; including but not limited to Lines Ballet San Fransisco, Hubbard Street, American Ballet Theater, Joffrey, Colorado Ballet, Los Angelas Ballet, NYU Tisch, Cincinnati Ballet, Butler University, Bolshoi, and Nutmeg Conservatory.

Morgan is now working internationally as a professional choreographer, guest teacher, and interdisciplinary eco-dance artist.
